IF I DIE TODAY

Regrets abundant,
As stars in the night.
The darkness grows,
Eating into the light.

Wreaths of sorrow,
Garland the scamp loose.
As time passes,
They tighten like a noose.

The star of his heart,
Has moved on in life.
Leaving him feeling,
Stabbed by a knife.

She came back to him,
Like the waves to shore.
But now a person different,
from the one before.

She hides things from him,
For reasons unknown.
When all his secrets,
Without thought he's shown.

It kills him inside,
To know this fact.
The soul in tatters,
His heart cracked.

He will do anything,
To get back the old one.
He'll drink entire oceans,
He'll swallow the sun.

He'll die trying,
if that is what's needed.
He'll pay attention to noone,
No warnings will be heeded.

But he cannot confront her,
He'll live with what he got.
Because he can't risk losing her,
He can't stand the thought.

If he were to die today,
And had even seconds to spare.
He'd call her and listen hard,
Even cherishing dead air.

A SINGLE BEING

As night turned into day,
He looked out.

The sky blanketed the world,
In its peaceful slumber.

All beings ignorant of him,
Except for one.

He could always feel her presence,
No matter where he was.

It was really all he needed to survive, really,
But he always welcomed more.

Conversations stretched for hours,
Days weeks and months.

She was his star,
Warm and nurturing.

As the ones,
That housed in the sky.

And as he talked into the night,
His star twinkled in his heart.

ANGEL

A partial picture,
A figure in white.

In my dark world,
She's the source of light.

She picked me up,
When I was down.

Saved my life,
Or I were to drown.

If I could kiss her,
All day long.

I'd do it,
Even if it were wrong.

I'd always keep her,
Close to me.

To love her,
I don't need to see.

No problems,
Could touch her then.

I'd fight them all,
God or men.

To help her,
I'm willing to die.

To please her,
Ill learn to fly.

In any life,
If we end up together.

Ill hold on to her,
And leave her never.

Because she is the one,
Who is right.

In this world of darkness
An angel bright.

GIFT OF SIGHT

The moonlight shines into his face,
The lonely boy in his room.

It reminds him of the world beyond,
A world that he used to live in.

In an attempt to stand he stumbles across,
Right down to the lone window.

He wishes to see the cloudy sky,
Illuminated by the moonlight.

Like a bed of cotton bails,
On a sheet of stretched blue satin.

The trees that stand tall on the earth,
As if praying to the creator forever.

The water all around him,
That is the essence of life .

The beings around him,
That keep him from being lonely.

The shining lights of suns and stars,
That make this world a beautiful place.

The rain that washes the earth,
And purges it off the dirt.

All in all a scene of gods glory,
The beauty of his work, our world.

A single tear was let go,
And as it dropped to the ground.

It shone with a blinding light,
Not that it affected the boy at first.

And then suddenly he saw white,
And other colours jumped in too.

He could see all he wanted now,
He had no idea how this happened.

INFLUENCED

She peaks into my soul,
By looking into my eyes.

She understands I'm troubled,
By listening to my voice.

She can make me feel better,
By just taking my name.

She can help me with my problems,
By just hearing me out.

She can make my day,
By simply calling me up.

She can make me tense,
By simply staying quiet.

She can kill me,
By simply not talking to me

She has so much power over me.
And she knows it.

ENDLESS DAY

His eyes well up,
As he stands looking into the setting sun.

He sees the harsh reality,
Behind the beauty of this spectacle.

It signifies the end,
The onset of pitch black nothingness.

And the creeping darkness,
Takes over all beings being partial to none.

Its the be all and end all,
As everything shares the final destination.

So all one can really look to,
Is that the day is long before the sun sets.

Some are lucky,
As their time last longer than an eternity.

In my case however,
The sunlight was quenched prematurely.

The few hours of heaven,
Shall be cherished even long after the end.

Its all I will be left with,
After the supreme darkness takes over.

The staple supply,
Is already dwindling as minutes pass by.

His body suffers withdrawal,
His mind already having succumbed to it.

The little time he has left,
He shall not spend it mourning.

Instead he'll hope,
That the sun rises soon again.

Granting him his wish,
Providing him with a renewed lease of life.

One that is filled with,
The beautiful colours of the world.

A world where,
The sun never sets, the day doesn't end.

HEAVEN ON EARTH

She thinks he is hurting me,
And well, she is right.

But not in the way she thinks,
Its something else entirely.

I know she knows,
And how much it affects her.

The world truly is a stage,
As said the bard.

And we may as well be actors,
But we are not playing our parts.

Even if this is written,
In the script of our lives.

But I shall hold my peace,
Forever if I have to.

And never put her dreams,
Or plans in jeopardy.

I love her too much for that,
Almost as much as she loves me.

The greatest love stories,
Are all tragedies.

So I ask the creator,
can ours be any different?

I hope it can be all that I imagined,
And much more.

And if that is achieved,
It won't be short of heaven on earth.

DREAM

I wound up right in the middle of it
She was already there, haggling over commodities of sorts

She turned to me and stated "too expensive, hun"
Her face kept her secret, only her eyes spilt the beans

I fumbled for my money but found none at hand
I looked at that face

I had vowed to procure anything that she desired
So was I going to be bested by something so minuscule?

She knew what was going through my mind
Clasping my hand in her soft ones, she nodded

She looked away, she knew her eyes betray her
But I needed no confirmation

I took mine from hers and walked down the path
Leaving her there, a sorry figure

I'd told her I'd be back in a while with the money
she should hold onto those bangles

Five, ten, fifteen. Seconds to minutes, and to hours
She waited with the crimson bangles in hand

A figure, from behind, caught her and spoke in her ear
She knew it was him, she recognised his touch

"You can keep these bangles now for I have bought them not
Instead, I borrowed the cart"

She looked at him, puzzled, why would he do that?
He walked away with the cart

She stood there with bangles in hand, still
Gazing at the path he had taken

It would be a while before she would see him retrace his steps
But she promised herself that she'd wait

She looked on, waiting for him to return.
The bangles on her hand would only be a spectacle for him, alone.

UNCERTAIN

The scene open at here place.
The one bedroom apartment

I ended up outside her door,
Where it had all begun.

A small part of me didn't want to enter,
The rest of me, however, wouldn't listen.

I felt my hands twist the handle,
The light door swung open and hit the wall.

I peered in inquisitively to steal a glance,
And saw her sitting there.

Her back was towards me,
But I was positive she felt my presence.

I stood there looking at her,
Her hair flowed all the way to her waist.

I tried to imagine the expression on her face,
And the feeling in heart.

She turned around to face me,
Her face covered by a mask.

I could still see her eyes,
The entrance to ones soul.

Delving into her subconscious,
I continued in doubt and uncertainty.

I had imagined what I'd encounter,
Within this mysterious person.

Where I'd thought be the black of void,
Was colour too beautiful to describe.

But the void wasn't absent,
It was there and seemed to increase.

She blinked her eyes,
The connection was severed.

All I could do was look the mask,
And wonder what was going on.

The weather of my life is dicey,
As it rains,with storms approaching.

Yet I look to be nourished,
Keeping an eye out for eternal spring.

I Wonder

He stares into the night,
Feeling lonely for the first time in days.

Laying there vestige,
Imagining what she maybe dreaming of.

Clouds of cotton candy,
And scenes of chocolate peaks.

Beaches of white sand,
And high mountains touching the sky.

Surrounded by water,
Or the people who she loves.

He pictures her smiling,
That spreads from her lips into her eyes.

The contagious smile,
The reassuring look of promise and love.

And he stares into the void,
He wonders whether he is part of it.

Help Her

Sleepy mornings,
Weary nights.

Days and weeks,
Roll like flashing lights.

She looks up,
Tired and sore.

His thoughts trail back,
To night before.

He wants to help her,
Where he can.

To run the course again,
That he once ran.

To help her,
If she would talk to him.

Than hold it in,
And fill up to the brim.

He wants her,
To pour it out.

He wants to hear and help,
There is no doubt.

But he can't,
keep on the questioning.

As he knows,
She hates the pestering.

He wishes he could,
Read her mind.

All her problems,
He could find.

But because he can't,
He has a request.

That she holds back,
She should bequest.

So that he can help her,
Looking into her eyes.

And watch her problems,
Say their silent goodbyes.

Land of the Setting Sun

The sun has set in my world,
Leaving only shadows behind.

Past time - sweet memories,
Are now visions benign.

A constant tribute to us,
Is the blessed rain.

Bathing us in ambrosia,
Numbing our pain.

We look into each others eyes,
And speak to the soul.

Our fights leave us maimed,
Like by swallowing burning coal.

I need her in my life,
Its a need to live by.

Lest be unfulfilled,
I shall fall and fly.

Alone in this world,
shall I be this time.

For she's who I want,
Who that cannot be mine.

I look on to the future,
Although I know its futile.

We'll drift away from each other,
Mile after mile.

Till then I shall try,
To absorb as much as I can.

At the end of which,
I'd flee to the neverland.

Where I shall age no more,
And live life forever.

With my memories of her,
I shall lose never.
