Resurrection

It took me a while,
 To come back to life.

 Healed is my soul,
 Redundant the knife.

 Tomorrow took,
 A bit long to come.

 Lost all battles,
 Not a single won.

 Wounds superficial,
 Are long but gone.

 The pain still returns,
 Like the punctual dawn.

 My eyes water,
 As returning memories tumble in.

 Reminding me of battles,
 I couldn't win.

 This face of mine,
 Is a mask of lies.

 It fakes a smile,
 While my soul dies.

 There's no point,
 of coming clear.

 Because she can't understand,
 What she can hear.

 So lost I am,
 In the sands of time.

 Soul lost in pain,
 Mind lost in rhyme.

"Salvation"
Ill cut myself into small pieces,
And leave them scattered on the floor.

Yes I'm going to do something,
Something no one else has done before.

Ill send my blood to the bank,
In deposits of litres and gallons.

While the skins is left On the floor,
Shred by a thousand million talons.

I'm going to tear of this face of mine,
And paste it on the wall of my room.
'm going to hang my bones in the corner,
Until swept away by the caretakers broom.

I'm going to tear this heart of mine out,
And somehow keep it beating.

When I'm dead, buried and forgotten,
Ill attend the tortureds' meeting.

My soul will haunt these halls forever,
My spirit will never die.

It shall cause misery to those who break,
And comfort to those who try

IF I DIE TODAY

Regrets abundant,
As stars in the night.
The darkness grows,
Eating into the light.

Wreaths of sorrow,
Garland the scamp loose.
As time passes,
They tighten like a noose.

The star of his heart,
Has moved on in life.
Leaving him feeling,
Stabbed by a knife.

She came back to him,
Like the waves to shore.
But now a person different,
from the one before.

She hides things from him,
For reasons unknown.
When all his secrets,
Without thought he's shown.

It kills him inside,
To know this fact.
The soul in tatters,
His heart cracked.

He will do anything,
To get back the old one.
He'll drink entire oceans,
He'll swallow the sun.

He'll die trying,
if that is what's needed.
He'll pay attention to noone,
No warnings will be heeded.

But he cannot confront her,
He'll live with what he got.
Because he can't risk losing her,
He can't stand the thought.

If he were to die today,
And had even seconds to spare.
He'd call her and listen hard,
Even cherishing dead air.

A SINGLE BEING

As night turned into day,
He looked out.

The sky blanketed the world,
In its peaceful slumber.

All beings ignorant of him,
Except for one.

He could always feel her presence,
No matter where he was.

It was really all he needed to survive, really,
But he always welcomed more.

Conversations stretched for hours,
Days weeks and months.

She was his star,
Warm and nurturing.

As the ones,
That housed in the sky.

And as he talked into the night,
His star twinkled in his heart.

ANGEL

A partial picture,
A figure in white.

In my dark world,
She's the source of light.

She picked me up,
When I was down.

Saved my life,
Or I were to drown.

If I could kiss her,
All day long.

I'd do it,
Even if it were wrong.

I'd always keep her,
Close to me.

To love her,
I don't need to see.

No problems,
Could touch her then.

I'd fight them all,
God or men.

To help her,
I'm willing to die.

To please her,
Ill learn to fly.

In any life,
If we end up together.

Ill hold on to her,
And leave her never.

Because she is the one,
Who is right.

In this world of darkness
An angel bright.

GIFT OF SIGHT

The moonlight shines into his face,
The lonely boy in his room.

It reminds him of the world beyond,
A world that he used to live in.

In an attempt to stand he stumbles across,
Right down to the lone window.

He wishes to see the cloudy sky,
Illuminated by the moonlight.

Like a bed of cotton bails,
On a sheet of stretched blue satin.

The trees that stand tall on the earth,
As if praying to the creator forever.

The water all around him,
That is the essence of life .

The beings around him,
That keep him from being lonely.

The shining lights of suns and stars,
That make this world a beautiful place.

The rain that washes the earth,
And purges it off the dirt.

All in all a scene of gods glory,
The beauty of his work, our world.

A single tear was let go,
And as it dropped to the ground.

It shone with a blinding light,
Not that it affected the boy at first.

And then suddenly he saw white,
And other colours jumped in too.

He could see all he wanted now,
He had no idea how this happened.

INFLUENCED

She peaks into my soul,
By looking into my eyes.

She understands I'm troubled,
By listening to my voice.

She can make me feel better,
By just taking my name.

She can help me with my problems,
By just hearing me out.

She can make my day,
By simply calling me up.

She can make me tense,
By simply staying quiet.

She can kill me,
By simply not talking to me

She has so much power over me.
And she knows it.

ENDLESS DAY

His eyes well up,
As he stands looking into the setting sun.

He sees the harsh reality,
Behind the beauty of this spectacle.

It signifies the end,
The onset of pitch black nothingness.

And the creeping darkness,
Takes over all beings being partial to none.

Its the be all and end all,
As everything shares the final destination.

So all one can really look to,
Is that the day is long before the sun sets.

Some are lucky,
As their time last longer than an eternity.

In my case however,
The sunlight was quenched prematurely.

The few hours of heaven,
Shall be cherished even long after the end.

Its all I will be left with,
After the supreme darkness takes over.

The staple supply,
Is already dwindling as minutes pass by.

His body suffers withdrawal,
His mind already having succumbed to it.

The little time he has left,
He shall not spend it mourning.

Instead he'll hope,
That the sun rises soon again.

Granting him his wish,
Providing him with a renewed lease of life.

One that is filled with,
The beautiful colours of the world.

A world where,
The sun never sets, the day doesn't end.

HEAVEN ON EARTH

She thinks he is hurting me,
And well, she is right.

But not in the way she thinks,
Its something else entirely.

I know she knows,
And how much it affects her.

The world truly is a stage,
As said the bard.

And we may as well be actors,
But we are not playing our parts.

Even if this is written,
In the script of our lives.

But I shall hold my peace,
Forever if I have to.

And never put her dreams,
Or plans in jeopardy.

I love her too much for that,
Almost as much as she loves me.

The greatest love stories,
Are all tragedies.

So I ask the creator,
can ours be any different?

I hope it can be all that I imagined,
And much more.

And if that is achieved,
It won't be short of heaven on earth.

DREAM

I wound up right in the middle of it
She was already there, haggling over commodities of sorts

She turned to me and stated "too expensive, hun"
Her face kept her secret, only her eyes spilt the beans

I fumbled for my money but found none at hand
I looked at that face

I had vowed to procure anything that she desired
So was I going to be bested by something so minuscule?

She knew what was going through my mind
Clasping my hand in her soft ones, she nodded

She looked away, she knew her eyes betray her
But I needed no confirmation

I took mine from hers and walked down the path
Leaving her there, a sorry figure

I'd told her I'd be back in a while with the money
she should hold onto those bangles

Five, ten, fifteen. Seconds to minutes, and to hours
She waited with the crimson bangles in hand

A figure, from behind, caught her and spoke in her ear
She knew it was him, she recognised his touch

"You can keep these bangles now for I have bought them not
Instead, I borrowed the cart"

She looked at him, puzzled, why would he do that?
He walked away with the cart

She stood there with bangles in hand, still
Gazing at the path he had taken

It would be a while before she would see him retrace his steps
But she promised herself that she'd wait

She looked on, waiting for him to return.
The bangles on her hand would only be a spectacle for him, alone.

UNCERTAIN

The scene open at here place.
The one bedroom apartment

I ended up outside her door,
Where it had all begun.

A small part of me didn't want to enter,
The rest of me, however, wouldn't listen.

I felt my hands twist the handle,
The light door swung open and hit the wall.

I peered in inquisitively to steal a glance,
And saw her sitting there.

Her back was towards me,
But I was positive she felt my presence.

I stood there looking at her,
Her hair flowed all the way to her waist.

I tried to imagine the expression on her face,
And the feeling in heart.

She turned around to face me,
Her face covered by a mask.

I could still see her eyes,
The entrance to ones soul.

Delving into her subconscious,
I continued in doubt and uncertainty.

I had imagined what I'd encounter,
Within this mysterious person.

Where I'd thought be the black of void,
Was colour too beautiful to describe.

But the void wasn't absent,
It was there and seemed to increase.

She blinked her eyes,
The connection was severed.

All I could do was look the mask,
And wonder what was going on.

The weather of my life is dicey,
As it rains,with storms approaching.

Yet I look to be nourished,
Keeping an eye out for eternal spring.

I Wonder

He stares into the night,
Feeling lonely for the first time in days.

Laying there vestige,
Imagining what she maybe dreaming of.

Clouds of cotton candy,
And scenes of chocolate peaks.

Beaches of white sand,
And high mountains touching the sky.

Surrounded by water,
Or the people who she loves.

He pictures her smiling,
That spreads from her lips into her eyes.

The contagious smile,
The reassuring look of promise and love.

And he stares into the void,
He wonders whether he is part of it.

Help Her

Sleepy mornings,
Weary nights.

Days and weeks,
Roll like flashing lights.

She looks up,
Tired and sore.

His thoughts trail back,
To night before.

He wants to help her,
Where he can.

To run the course again,
That he once ran.

To help her,
If she would talk to him.

Than hold it in,
And fill up to the brim.

He wants her,
To pour it out.

He wants to hear and help,
There is no doubt.

But he can't,
keep on the questioning.

As he knows,
She hates the pestering.

He wishes he could,
Read her mind.

All her problems,
He could find.

But because he can't,
He has a request.

That she holds back,
She should bequest.

So that he can help her,
Looking into her eyes.

And watch her problems,
Say their silent goodbyes.

Land of the Setting Sun

The sun has set in my world,
Leaving only shadows behind.

Past time - sweet memories,
Are now visions benign.

A constant tribute to us,
Is the blessed rain.

Bathing us in ambrosia,
Numbing our pain.

We look into each others eyes,
And speak to the soul.

Our fights leave us maimed,
Like by swallowing burning coal.

I need her in my life,
Its a need to live by.

Lest be unfulfilled,
I shall fall and fly.

Alone in this world,
shall I be this time.

For she's who I want,
Who that cannot be mine.

I look on to the future,
Although I know its futile.

We'll drift away from each other,
Mile after mile.

Till then I shall try,
To absorb as much as I can.

At the end of which,
I'd flee to the neverland.

Where I shall age no more,
And live life forever.

With my memories of her,
I shall lose never.

YOUR VOICE

been a week since I heard your voice,
All other sounds are now just noise.

It is something that I hold very dear,
My morning bell and midnight cheer.

Though, eternally withing my heart it plays,
For there it forever lays.

Listening to you speak and speak,
like the first few drops of heavens leak.

Your voice is that which will keep me sober,
Or intoxicated till this life's over.

Its power on me you know of nought,
The kind that I had never thought.

For you ill work the days and nights,
Being close to you, my only right.

I hope someday from his heart you'll tear,
But not with sadness pain and despair.

But with joy and will to move on,
Right into my hearts lawn.

He will hate me forever though,
And for a while he'll lie low.

But then someday he'll be back,
And my heart he will try to crack.

That day will be the test of love,
That shall happens what's planned above.

If that test we can withstand,
We'd be the prime lovers of the land.

I can promise you now till dying age,
Upon this world, the earthly stage.

RAIN

He woke up one night, his heart in pain,
and looked to the sky, urged it to rain.

The Gods looked down, looking for him,
Sensing contempt, right up to brim.

Thundered a voice, right in his ear,
"Rain never it shall, where you are dear."

Was that real, or was it imagined to be,
He waited to watch, waited to see.

Staying where he was, did rain never come,
He packed his bags, set in pursuit of some.

Wherever he went, rain didn't cross,
Cursed was he, wherever he was.

Determined the youth was, arrogant at his age,
Wanting to write his own words, on life's empty page.

He travelled the lands, to every corner he went,
Lived anywhere, till his back was bent.

But the his pursuit of rain, never did die,
And at last, he looked again to the sky.

"Rain you now, or stay forever forbiden,
Lifes alwasy been a desert, my love hidden."

The Gods in heaven, again looked down,
Seeing the mans face in smile, heart in frown.

Forgoten was contempt, forgoten was the curse,
Down came the rain, out of natures purse.

It came down hard, hard enough to kill,
The young soul, who'd enjoyed it still.

The soul was young, the body was not,
And so his end, the rain had wrought.

With issues none, into the sky he stared,
At last the Gods, for him had cared.

He passed away, rendered a peaceful one,
His tombstone read,"Finally, the rain hath come"

FOR HER ON HER BIRTHDAY

How strangely,
You came into my life.

Like an ant,
In a beehive.

Since then,
You’ve been by me.
Irrespective,
Of what my many faults may be

Helping me here,
Helping me there.

Here, there,
Helped me everywhere.

So taking a moment,
I’d like to thank,

That dude up there,
Who loans us life from his bank

For sending,
An angel in human form.

Who easily catches a cold,
But has a heart so warm.

For she is a gift,
Much better than any.

More precious than gold,
Or diamonds, however many.

You came into my life,
Like a shooting star.

From a heavenly world,
Who knows how far

We mortals wish for stuff,
Seeing shooting stars.

You are both,
My wish and my star.

Seeing you,
I just wish for seeing you again.

But maybe that’s the one wish,
Forbidden in this game.

But, even so,
You are the best.

Of things like these,
I wouldn’t jest.

So a very,
Happy birthday to you.

May your problems be mine,
And your illnesses too.

For you’ll take care of me,
As you always do.

To see you laugh,
I’d get hurt and wouldn’t mind.

For a better person than you,
I couldn’t find.

An angel like you,
Deserves to be.

Void of problem,
So you could be free.

To make this world,
A better place.

To put a smile ,
On a saddened face.

People who know you,
Have idea none.

Of how lucky they are,
Like from a trillion, one.

Luckier still,
Is he.

With whom,
You choose to be.

And a fool he is,
If he has no clue.

Of how lucky he is,
To have you.

I’m also sorry,
For all the pain I’ve caused you.

I’d take it all back,
If that I could do.

For one more thing,
I’m glad.

We’ve never lied to each other,
No matter what we have done bad.

I hope you read,
Every word I wrote.

Cos it took me like half an hour,
To write this note.

MR ME

Doubts were aroused,
Every now and then in his mind.

They crept in hers too,
But not as frequently.

The former, painful,
The latter, even more so.

It was tough for him,
"Tougher for her", he decided immediately,

Causing iritation to both,
Was is unwanted, pointless?

No. For were it so,
It wouldn't happen in the first place.

"Its leading somewhere",
He knew it with all his heart.

"Where, though, is a mystery"
Emanated. A voice within.

That didn't scare him.
It doesn't now, it will not.

That being said,
They walk on, a step at a time.

Supporting each other,
When either of them falter.

Like this, it is.
Like this, it will be.

LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL

The darkness closes in on you.
Eternal night, his advantage.

To him you seem like a waddling bird,
An unaware being, a prey.

The extending darkness almost vaulting,
Is vital for him to strike.

You still don't know of the danger,
Or maybe you don't care.

You keep to your business,
Unaffected by all that's around you.

Your mind is not registering the environment,
As it is working elsewhere.

You look at the book, not reading it,
You touch the skin, not feeling it.

Nothing matters to you anymore,
Except for the one thing.

Even when he attacks,
The fight almost never comes.

If it does it,
only so because of her.

What brings down the rain,
Is an attack on her.

It not only because you love her,
But also because she is your light at the end of the tunnel.

HE LOOKED ON

He looked on into the night,
To steal from nature some starry sight.

Looking up he saw the sky,
Smeared in a lavender dye.

In that sheet, sprinkled stars.
Beacons in space for unearthly cars.

Sprinkled around the white moon,
Mornings curse, night-times boon.

His gaze now fell a little lower,
This time around the world seemed slower.

Trees till where his eyes could see,
As much beauty as there'll ever be.

The green leaves now had a purple shade,
Beauty at its best, that god has made.

Within the trees shimmered lights,
Adding to the twinkling nights.

From somewhere within,emanated a hoot,
Giving voice to the inanimate roots.

He wondered what secrets lay,
Within the bark, never to see the light of day.

Finally his eyes lay on the pond,
Signatory of all life's bond.

The still water, always alive,
Because of which all beings thrive.

Matching the sky in hue and colour,
Like an obsessed imitative lover.

He looked upon these one more time,
Forgetting them would be a crime.

At last he closed his eyes,
As he said his silent goodbyes.

After he left, the sights remain,
Open for another to gain.

FLY

a fly buzzing at the further end of the room
A sob is heard.

I look into her eyes but she sees me not
She calls out to someone

Its not me, I wonder who it is that who supersedes me
even in my presence and his absence

I ignore her inquiries, they shall stay unanswered forever
Instead I hold her hands

She calls me by that name she used before
Making me seem more insignificant than the fly in the room

For her, though, I take it and restrict retorts
I look at her still, wondering

Her dazed eyes further confirm her inability to recognise me
I have loved her forever

But that shrew, that twit, he has broken her
Still she longs only for him

The rest of the world is oblivious,
Oblivious as the fly

I revert my gaze onto  my phone now
It has been ringing for a while

Its that feeling again, the one of restlessness
I stand up to leave

She still looks through me,gazing at the door
Mumbling words that I can't construe.

I can't get her face out of my thoughts
Yet I can't get mine into her eyes

With that final unsettling thought, I finally leave the drab white room
Careful not to kill the fly or let it escape.

As the door closes behind me, I hear a ringing
Crushing darkness falls on me as I return to my reality.

My eyes open , my forehead sweaty, my breathing troubled.
I look up at the roof, pondering.

It had seemed so real, more so than reality
It had betrayed my mind

Tired, I stole back into the realm of dreams,
Bribing the guards with the balm of sense

And Unknown as much to the rest of the world, as to me
A fly buzzed over my heavy head.

FINALLY

He had been waiting for weeks,
But it had felt like a series of lifetimes.

he was looking forward to it,
Since the day he could.

For that moment,
Nothing would be more important.

He was in the sky, literally,
But his mind was in that room.

It looked everywhere for her,
That angel that lived there.

As he descended, his though gathered,
And it became clear, all of it.

The mind had not found her,
it looked in the wrong place.

And as the wheels touched the ground, exhilarating all his senses,
His mind looked into his heart.

The angel was there,
Surrounded by light.

And as he looked into her eyes,
For that brief moment, he was whole

DONT HATE YOU

If I could look into your eyes,
And take it all away.

If I could dive into your heart,
And take it all away.

If I could sift through your memories,
And take it all away.

If I could delve into your thoughts,
 and take it all away.

If I could touch your cheek,
And take it all away.

If I could kiss you on your neck,
And take it all away.

If I could run my hands through your hair,
And take it all away.

If I could talk to you for those infinite hours,
And it take it all away.

I wouldn't.
Because I don't hate you.

DISGUST

He looks at himself in the mirror,
And looks away.

If he himself can't look at himself,
Who else will.

Disgusted, not with his looks but with what's inside,
He shuts himself out.

Feelings of love and affection are strangled at conception,
Those that survive are stowed away, deep within.

He looks not to want anybody again,
But he doesn't know that its all decided.

A stranger to friends,
Friends to much more.

Matures a connection,
One that is not intentional.

The complete eternal darkness in his being,
Is now obstructed my the tiniest spect of white.

It gives him hope of a future of some sort,
Even if not the usual.

At this point,He shall settle for anything,
A sliver or the cake in its entirety.

Its strange as The last time he checked,
Life was left over meatloaf.

Things were getting better,
Hope existed after all.

He is now changed for the better,
The reason is known to him alone.

The initial disgust had,
but hampered his habit of looking into mirrors.

Walking across a shop one day,
He saw his eye in a shard of glass.

What he saw surprised him,
As now the disgust had gone away.

All that was left in that eye,
Was the reason and reason alone

COLOUR

My life is black and white,
You're the one that makes it right.

You imbibe colours into my life,
Of setting suns and cake knives.

All hues experienced are because of you,
Thousands of days, and of midnights few.

Being the rainbow of my sky,
Please be there till I fly.

I hope for you I can be the same,
Be the colour of you life's game.

And when I enter into the void,
Soul immortal, body destroyed.

Ill look over you night and day,
Wouldn't have it any other way.

AWRY

He spent his nights,
Gazing into the sky.

An old habit,
When things went awry.

On thinking about,
That girl so sweet.

His heart pounding,
Dancing in the street.

However he had,
Now lost that right.

At the end of the tunnel,
There glowed no light.

For those moments,
He'll forever remember.

His world is cold since,
As if eternal December.

He walked around,
His heart ripped out.

He hears no one,
Whisper or shout.

He closes his eyes,
And sees her face.

And when opened,
 his heart would've raced.

But he never knows,
what his heart feels.

Away from him,
Eternally infront of her, It kneels.

It shall be there,
Forever more.

Till he passes,
Into eternal snore.

Even after that,
It may persist.

For she's such,
That it can't resist.

Death itself,
would feel contested.

 If it were to,
Cross his path unrequested.

He hides the pain,
 in his eyes.

His face smiles,
Creating lies.

Not from her though,
It can't be done.

To all the world,
Except one.

Beneath his surface,
It now lies.

Writhing in pain,
Till it flies.

Although that is,
Not likely to be.

Whatever happens,
He'll see.

To the rest of the world,
It stays unshown.

A potential seed,
Remains un sown.

Rather sown and uprooted,
Would describe this better.

Written and signed,
Yet unposted letter.
